Copy `.env.example` to `.env`, add `TYPESAFE_API_KEY` and `OPENROUTER_API_KEY`, and restart both processes. Varlock loads and validates configuration, generates `env.d.ts`, and protects fields marked sensitive. Select **Live AI** when creating a proposal, or set `AI_MODE=live` to change the default.
